Who Is One World United?

One World United is a new company with a unique and growing loyalty program using integrated point of sale technology. Unlike existing loyalty programs that are too expensive or not offered to small and medium sized businesses, OWU offers its system to companies of any size, be they local, regional or national at a cost that virtually any enterprise can afford.

The cornerstone of the OWU model is a reward system that pays consumers to shop at participating merchants (and merchants to do likewise.) Consumers simply load their pre-paid debit loyalty card from their bank account and are given an additional 10% in Loyalty Dollars from One World United. They can then swipe their card and spend their loyalty dollars at OWU member merchants. There is no waiting for thousands of points to add up or products to be shipped and there no inconvenient travel times. Consumers can load, shop and save today and every day.

Member merchants accept the OWU Card for payment from consumers in the form of Loyalty Dollars which are immediately credited to their own OWU account and they are charged a 5% transaction fee in Loyalty Dollars. Merchants have 24/7 access online to their account information through their own dedicated Back Office in order to track and account for all transactions processed through the OWU Loyalty Program. This includes sales, purchases, period summaries and more. As per CRA regulations a OWU Loyalty Dollar is valued the same as a Canadian dollar and all sales treated as earned income. Likewise purchases that are legitimate business expenses are deductible. GST/PST are included in the OWU transactions and settled real time in the merchant's account.

Merchants with Loyalty Dollar credit in their account are then able to shop at other merchants including those that offer business to business services only, as well as those that sell strictly to consumers and companies that do both. As with consumer transactions a business simply presents it's OWU card for payment of products and services. OWU charges a 5% transaction fee in Loyalty Dollars on the buyer's side.
